Departure of Lisbon

Loures/Malveira – Limestone cuesta and subvolcanic morphology.

Pero Pinheiro – Pedra Furada: Cretaceous tower like karren; Pliocene platform of S. Joćo das Lampas; marble sawing plants.

Sintra – World Heritage town; Pena castle; Natural Park of Sintra-Cascais.

Adraga – Coastal caves with an open shaft about 90 metre deep.

Cape of Roca – The most occidental point of the European continent; western part of Sintra eruptive massif.

Cascais – Low limestone platform; Boca do Inferno (Hell’s Mouth).

Estoril – On the river side from the Atlantic to the Tagus estuary.
